First spend a few hours to explore and admire the huge temple complex of Angkor Wat, Next visit ANGKOR THOM CITY including the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Explore other temples such as THE ROYAL ENCLOSURE PHIMEANAKAS, BAPOUN TEMPLE, THE ELEPHANT TERRACE and THE TERRACE OF THE LEPER KING. Taste Khmer set lunch at local restaurant nearby.
In the afternoon, visit the amazing temple of the Jungle, Ta Promh, the filming site of Hollywood “Tomb Raider” partially covered by the forest – roots of fig, banyan and kapok trees surround the roofs of the temple.
