Highlights
Meet our professional licenced tour guide by the Mistry of Tourism, briefed about today’s tour to Beng Mealea temple and Kampong Pluk. Spend this morning to explore Beng Mealea, built as a Hindu temple, but there are some carvings depicting Buddhist motifs. Its primary material is sandstone and it is largely unrestored, with trees and thick brush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards and many of its stones lying in great heaps.
End your visit at Kampong Khleang, a permanent community within the flood plain of the Lake. Visiting Kampong Khleang during the dry season is universally awestruck by the forest of stilt houses rising up to 10 meters in the air. In the monsoon, the water rises up to 1 or 2 meters of their home. Get on motorboat to explore fishing activities, fishery and flooded forest in Tonle Sap Lake.
Dropped off at hotel at the end of the day.
